I believe the best products come from solving the hardest, most meaningful problems, and that’s exactly where I like to invest. When I meet a founder, I’m listening for deep customer empathy, obsession with technical elegance, and a long-term vision that extends beyond just product-market fit. I’m drawn to builders who see around corners, who have the hustle to bring complex ideas to life, and who serve as their company’s Chief Recruiting and Retention Officers. Exceptional products are built by exceptional teams.
Before working in venture, I spent years on the other side developing new technologies, forming companies out of university labs, and managing products with life-or-death applications. I led the medical battery business at EaglePicher Technologies, where delivering reliability was a requirement. At Arizona State University, I helped researchers commercialize engineering breakthroughs, turning raw science into funded startups. Earlier in my career, I worked at BCG, advising Fortune 500 companies on product and growth strategy. And across it all, one theme persisted: the best outcomes always started with an extraordinary product.
In venture, that product-first lens has helped me back teams at Bonsai.ai (acquired by Microsoft), Identify3D (Materialise), Riffyn (Siemens), Falkonry, and Citrine. These companies weren’t chasing hype—they were building deeply technical platforms with long-term defensibility. At QuestMark Partners, I led investments in Enpirion (Altera), Guavus (Thales), and others, building scalable enterprise infrastructure.
If you’re a founder obsessed with building ambitious, complex, and enduring products, especially in areas like AI, industrial software, or deep tech, I’d love to hear from you.
